Some of the links on Mister Portable are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I earn a small commission from the retailer. You pay the same price either way. The commission comes out of the seller's margin, not your wallet.

Any post containing affiliate links carries a notice at the top, and buy buttons are labelled as affiliate links.

Amazon Associates

Mister Portable is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Amazon prices change constantly. Any price mentioned in a post was accurate when I wrote it and may be completely wrong by the time you read it, so always check the listing.

How I handle it

I buy the gear I write about with my own money unless the post says otherwise at the top.
No company sees a review before it publishes, and none can edit one or pay to change a score.
A commission doesn't buy a recommendation. If a product isn't worth it, the post says so and the affiliate link stays in.
If I ever accept a sponsored post or keep a free sample, it will be labelled in the first paragraph rather than in a footer.

Advertising

If display ads ever appear here, they'll be clearly separated from the writing, and I'll update this page before they go live.
